Help: Spare tyre question and a couple more

Hi all

After cleaning my new cinq sporting out yesterday I took a closer look at the spare tyre and have a few questions:

1. I know the profile of the spare is different than usual but mines got a profile of something like 145/70/r13 its unused and doesnt appear to have a red spacesaver rim unless its only on the front because i havnt taken it completly out. Is the size i stated wrong.

2. I've got the original jack and some black plastic surround thing but no tools where there obviously should be some. Am i missing anything major here. can I get the replacements anywhere?.

3.In my boot the cover which covers the spare seems pretty thin and is raised in the middle (maybe due to the wrong size of my spare?) and has got a spongy carpety material underneath but bear rubber on top. I swear theres usualy carpet in cinqs in the boot if i'm not mistaken. I cant see how its the wrong way round because its like fixed to the back seats.

All help appreciated

Thanks.

The Spare tyre is usually on a red rim and is a 135/70VR13 or maybe a 145\70VR13 (My factory condition spare was 135/70VR13). Oh, yeah. The back of the rim is black. only the front is painted red.

Have you got the wheelbrace (12" brass coloured thing with a big head on it!)? Otherwise its just screwdrivers, and theyre fairly useless in the whole scheme of things...Fiat can supply replacements Id say, Id have to look it up though.

Yeah, tahts a sort of plasticky cover thing. Its raised because the spare is slightly higher than the surrounding metalwork Theyre standard, and secured to the back seat by pop-fasteners. I took mine out and replaced it with a much neater wooden floor

Ebay sell the kits from time to time, Sei ones should be fine too, maybe ask that dude thats going to break his Sei.

Screwdrivers in there are only good for helping to remove wheel trims, you could also get one from a scrappy.

Re: Help: Spare tyre question and a couple more

Hi,
The tyre size you have mentioned is a standard 900cc cinq tyre, 145/70/13, think the space saver is supposed to be 135 width but not sure if its 70 or 65 profile.
The cinq wheel brace is a standard type, 19mm I think, I got a ford brace in mine, seems to work ok....

Thanks
