Re: Seicento 900cc rocker cover gasket

rocker cover gasket costs a couple of quid and not long to fit, perfectly capable of being a DIY job

Re: Seicento 900cc rocker cover gasket

I had the same problem with my 899cc Sei. A few £ for the gasket, and my dad swapped it when I was at work one day. I think it's best to just lift the cover up and leave the injector etc bolted on.

Make sure the bolts are tightened to the correct tension though. To tight and it will wear the gasket out, too loose and it'll leak anyway.

Re: Seicento 900cc rocker cover gasket

Presuming the 899 Sei engine is the same as a Cinq....I think you need a cut
down allen key to reach the head of one of the screws

It is two of the screws, the ones under the throttle body.

Cheers

Re: Seicento 900cc rocker cover gasket

Hi,
You will have to disconnect a small water pipe that go's from the thermostat to the throttle body, other than that its an easy job, cables need to be disconnected from the throttle body as well.

Thanks
Paul T
