Exclamation Arrrh! Strut Brace help plz..

FcUked off with the Damn thing now.. I've bought a Width Aujustible Strut brace.. Holes match up fine.. its the battery (too high) and there is a black box on the top of the Cpu... Any Ideas? Will Spacers work? I have access to Stainless of all thickness...

It would probably be of help to anyone able to answer your question if you said what make of strut brace bar you have as there seems to be a considerable difference to them.

sounds like a sparco one

if it doesnt clear the battery, then u have the wrong battery installed and the little black box is merely a cover for some fuses. you dont need it

but yeah, spacers would be fine if u wanna go that route - just make sure they're the same both sides

spacers ideally you dont want, you want the 'brace on the bodywork ideally, you could a) push battery back (as i did on yellow one) or b) get the proper battery, although i only did that as needed new batt

For some braces you need to cut and chop the water bottle and ecu mounting bracket - also push the battery back a bit.

Lol, i feel like a pleb, You're right.. that black box is only housing fuses.. No not Sparco i have a HK racing Strut (Dark blue)... It just needs sum gentle persuasion to get it on now.. no spacers and the batt just need pushing back.. LOL Just a bit cold in the old garage to do it atm.. Thanks for all advice given chaps..
