Re: role cage

Not too bad if uve got a few yrs no claims and plenty of driving experience...
But my insurers simply wouldnt cover me, or just laugh in my face.

Re: role cage

The OMP one from DT wont be much good in an accident. Read the last line of the description:

Designed as a cosmetic addition and to give your car that authentic motorsport look!

Yeah, it'll give you something else to hit your head on

I can't see the point of a half-cage, all of the inconvenience with none of the benefits. Get a full cage

Full cage will strengthen the shell, half-cage just adds weight.

Yeah. Needs a big fat chunk taking out of the fascia nearest the doors. I really want one, and a properly over-engineered one at that!

Ah. overexaggeration there...its only a 50 x 50mm square off each door-facing corner.

Or if yu were really posh (and had ages to spare), yu could cut the fascia bit out, then shape it to follow the 'cage, then reattach it to the dash, I guess!

Its honestly not too bad...

Re: role cage

Yeah guess your right,

But thinking bout it, Like TBSei said think of the weight, in our cars we need all the power we can get, and not weigh it down.
