(T) Cinq Sporting Performance Chip

I recently purchased a Cinq Sporting Performance Chip from mckcrich and i must say it have made a huge difference on the drivability of my car. The flat spots have gone and now the engine has a very good rev range which is very smooth.

performance and torque has gone up and the car pulls stronger in all gears.

i must confess for £40 its the best mod that i have ever brought.

I have got a gas flowed and ported head, performance cam with an induction kit and a remus exchaust and i must say it makes a huge difference with these mods.

My advise...... buy one!

ah good question, to be honest, i have not told them! only got my chip done in a car park on bonfire night! cheers Michael for your work!

i will find out on monday.... but im not sure what to say to them because its not a branded chip like a star chip.

we will see.... hope its not a great increase.

i know just wait till you crash an say i never knew there was diffrent chip in it

Then they contact the previous owner and ask them if they fitted it!

i have been involved with lots of insurance claims have never yet heard of them opening up ecu to see if its chipped.

I used to work in a garage and being the tea boy I had to go and take the insurance assessors to the pound to inspect cars that had been recovered and they were pretty thorough.

More words of praise; i bought one of these chips of mckcrich a week or so ago but have only just had the chance to take the car out on some roads i know and give it a bit of welly.

the difference is amazing, more power there, smooth delivery, no flat spot, makes the car easier to drive and has more kick when u tad the loud pedal. worth every penny, liam - stop thinking about buying one and just buy one already!

I'd appreciate some help to further test the chip.

A couple of people have been enquiring if the Chip will work with a 1242 conversion. Is any one that is running a 1242 on a cinq IAW 16F ER ECU prepared to test out the Chip?

I would be prepared to let the person that tests it withn a 1242 have the Chip at half price i.e. £20. usual moneyback guarentee applies. If the tester is prepared to meet me to run some dyno runs, I'll do these for free (whatever the result).

If I get my 1242 Conversion sorted over christmas i will gladly help out or just do some dyno runs for extra info on how well they run!
