I had to change one of mine about a month ago now and i just bought the same as the what i had on already as i did not want to have a range of tyres on the car. I got a Pirelli P700 165/55/13 for £50.45 from tyre spot, i was well pleased with that price that inlcuded fully balance and fitted ontot the alloy. Regardless of what yopu get you would have to buy the same profile tyres though.

Re: What Tires

That brings on the next question......
With the standard sporting alloys what width's can you run?

Sorry for all the questions just don't wanna fork out 100 odd quid on crap tyres.

Re: What Tires

Do they not just bulge over the sides or do the actually make a difference to grip?

Re: What Tires

my 185s were cheap tyres, so i can't really say. they seemed to grip very well for cheap tyres tho

175's look perfect, 185's a tad too wide and 195's look like they're going to pop off.

Re: What Tires

195 aren't recomended for 5.5" wide rims, mst tyre manufactures say that if you want a 195 tyre your rim has to be 6" or wider.

I wouldn't recommend fitting a 195 tyre to a 5.5" wide rim, if the tyre manufaturers say not too it must be for a reason.
