Re: Petrol Gauge

They're not the most accurate fuel gauges in the world for sure. I wouldn't say it's 'normal' but it's 'common', mine certainly does it, moreso on sharp corners and on steep hills. Not noticed it so much when I put my foot down though...

Re: Petrol Gauge

is this a cinquecento?

if so, if its 1/2 tank or below, then it will vary a lot especially when cornering, other cars must have a resistor or summet like in the circuit that makes the gauge needle move slowly to try and keep the reading from fluctuating

its annoying, but you get used to it, I hated the fuel light coming on when tank was just under half!! so I pulled the bulb for it out of the panel at the back of the gauges, its never caused a problem.

Seicentos might be different.

Re: Petrol Gauge

Its normal. The trip meter is the best thing to use as fuel indication rather than the guage

Re: Petrol Gauge

Yes.. the tank is quite shallow so the fuel sloshing about affects the "level" at the gauge end quite badly.
