Re: Couple of Quick Wiring Questions

11 blue/red TDC sensor (-ve)
14 l blue/black 5v supply for MAP and TPS
28 yellow/black TDC sensor (+ve)
30 pink TPS

dunno best place to tap them, next to the ECU will be a dead cert. not sure what the RPM signal cable is - the guide about how to wire a rev counter into a cinq s/sx might help though.

careful with the TDC cable though, ECU gets cranky if you add noise to the signal. Best place to intercept would be at the ECU or the joining plug

edit; (RPM cable)

the wire you are looking for is a black & violet wire
this comes from the ECU(pin no.23) and is a thin wire which you should be able to find on the fuel pump relay near the brake master cylinder.

Re: Couple of Quick Wiring Questions

yeah, it'd be an orange wire on the main relay. Ignition switch switches the relay which switches the ECU. I'll have the car in bits later, i'll double check the wiring colour - but can't help with exactly where it is as i cut that main relay / fuse block off

Cheers

Where abouts have you mounted your LC1 controller? I'm struggling to find somewhere out of the way, also have you left the calibration LED and switch perminatly wired?

Re: Couple of Quick Wiring Questions

it is def an orange wire, that would've origonally gone up into the relays.

My LC1 is mounted under where the ECU used to be. It is cable tied (by the body.. not the cables!!) to something convient under there.

I have the calibration button and LED mounted on the dash. Two reasons, first being that it is uber cool to have a red button on the dashboard that people aren't allowed to press - and also it does come in handy, as does the LED. The LED gives you error codes. Like tonight, i've just done the top mounts on the front struts and some other bits and bobs. Had the lambda unplugged from the LC1 because i had the ignition on so i could listen to the radio and didnt want to burn out the heater circuits. Upon starting up, the engine was behaving oddly - but i knew the fault right away because the LC1 LED was flashing like a good 'un.

and the serial link cables sit under the baby changing area;

Right got a bit stuck today TPS pink wire works fine so that is up and running but struggling with the RPM side I was hoping i could use the ECU output to the rev counter but i've tried this and the Greddy doesn't like that one.

So back to the crank input. The Greddy has one input wire to get the signal, but which one is just the signal wire I guess it is pin 28 yellow black is that right?
