| Wrong expansion tank cap? I were getting a little bit of coolant leaking onto the top of the expansion tank of my 98 Sporting (I assumed the spring has gone weak), so went to the local dealers and got a new one, but when I got home I noticed the new one is one that pops off under pressure (1 bar) rather than being sprung. Have I been sold the wrong one by mistake or have Fiat changed them on purpose?

| Re: Wrong expansion tank cap? Ok then, hopefully it is a weak spring in the old cap and not something else gone wrong

| this is where i stand | Re: Wrong expansion tank cap? yeah the caps are known to fail, and if you're debugging a cool system fault it is a good place to start because its such a cheap part!
