Windscreen washer motors

Titch has started leaking water from the washer bottle.

On having a look, it seems that one of the electric motors has corroded a bit and it's leaking from the seam where the metal end and the plastic sections are joined.

Obviously Fiat don't sell a motor separately.. and I don't fancy buying a whole washer bottle (£60 I think... though that would come with a pair of motors..) especially as the motors themselve can easily be removed from the bottle.

Does anyone know of a new part that will fit and/or where I can get one?

I don't fancy a second-hand motor unless it's immaculate... most of them will be around 10 years old now so won't last long.. So the newer the better...

Ta.

Re: Windscreen washer motors

I think somewhere like halfords sell them. If not, are you sure it has gone where you suspect? They often go on the hoses because of the heat from the radiator. If it def has gone at the tank / pump seal then maybe just a bit of sillicone on it before you put it back on, leave it a while to set before filling it up jobs a good 'un

Or a PU like Sikkaflex/Tigerseal might be even better. Clean well with acetone, etc. first. Leave overnight.

Yes.. it's definitely the join. You can see where it's easing apart. I put some plastic padding in the gap and it stopped the leak for a while.. but it's starting to drip again.
