Re: sei sporting - mild tuning?

It's pretty much covered in the FAQ, but, Punto 75cam, bigger throttle body, McCritch chip, 4 into 1 or 4 into 2 into 1 manifold, decent exhaust system. More or less in that order.

Re: sei sporting - mild tuning?

Hello darren. Breathing mods is probably the best route to take first.

Besides the GSR induction kit, you should also consider a full exhaust system from manifold to backbox.

You could also look into upgrading your throttle body to a larger one.

From there you could knock into the Punto 75 cam, or head. Really depends how much you are commited to spend on your engine.

Alternatively, for easy gain, people will recommend the engine conversion route (mainly because it is cheap and effective!). The most popular engine to choose is the punto 75 (1.2 8v). Or you could go all out and slap a 1.4 16v engine in.

Hope this helps!

Yan

Re: sei sporting - mild tuning?

well , new engines is too crazy for me! i want to keep the sei as standard as possible but yes i will look into the suggestions so far , thanks guys! i suppose a new exhaust would have to be loud?? i hate too much noise.

Re: sei sporting - mild tuning?

Not necessarily.

Get a Supersprint exhuast system, they are about the closest thing you can get to a standard fiat exhaust setup

Re: sei sporting - mild tuning?

i'm guessing it would be loud if you got for a full de-cat one.

I'm guessing if you go for a supersprint manifold, keep the cat, and then buy a supersprint backbox. That should help with performance as well as keeping it a nice quiet tone.

The supersprint backbox is known for performance over noise.

Re: sei sporting - mild tuning?

You'll get a bit more from the exhaust, but it should be the last thing on your list. You'll gain even less from decat (and the potential for a lot of hastle).

These are relatively mild mods, but:

p75 Cam £35 (SH)
McCritch £50
40mm TB £100
Manifold £150
Exhaust £200

You could pick up a Punto 75 engine which would make more power immediately than all those mods for £150...........
