Re: new TB

just a random thought along these lines, if the 75 tb can be made to fit, can the 43mm bored out version of it be made to fit?

Re: new TB

Do you not think 43mm would be too much?

Re: new TB

prob need to start thinking about moding the inlet manifold to get any benefit from it, can't see it making much difference over a 40mm one from tricker which will be easier to fit.. Are the 43mm ones from tricker too?

yes they are also trickers, i was thinking 43mm would be a bit much, may also affect the driveability, but there is a noticable difference between a 38mm and a 40mm one, so why shouldnt there be with a 43?, every mm counts, but wether the hassle of getting it to fit would be worth any minimal performance gain is another question.

would be an interesting experiment though

Well go stick some twin 45's or some 48mm throttle bodies on it.....then see how it drives.

You can go too big you know

Re: new TB

Yeah, too big decreases flow efficiency, so the speed of the air entering the inlet is decreased. This is bad lol.

Re: new TB

well i have the punto 75 tb already... but i'm waiting to find an old 1108 TB just because i don't want to stop the car as i get the "thigs" prepared...

i hope i can try this soon...

for those who tryed this swap (standard tb for the punto 75 tb) is it realy noticed? there are gains in the performance?

Re: new TB

I've been reading all this threads about TBs and I still have a question. Will the ECU need some kind of remap, chip (or something) or will it just learn how to deal with the extra flow?
