Battery Low Light

On my 1995 Cinqy SX...

I was driving home this evening and noticed that when I was braking, the battery low light came on, not brightly like when you put the key in, but a rather dim kind of light. When I stopped braking, it went off slowly. What could this be?

I rarely run my stereo without the engine running, so is it the Alternator gone wrong (£££) or is it just that the battery is low?

Thanks
Adam

Re: Battery Low Light

I'll have a look in the morning, i can see jack **** at the moment, it hasn't been squeaking (although my stereo was pretty loud earlier).

Re: Battery Low Light

it's your brake lights draining power. I'd say it;s a prob with the alternator (either belt or the actual thing) or your battery not keeping charge. I reckon it's probably the latter if it runs fine otherwise

is it starting first time?
