Re: My seicento Project

not had any money to do anything really :\ roll on tuesday christmas crippled me bigtime also got final installment of car insurance this month £600 so gonna be skint again through to end of feb

fitted a bigger fuel pump on sunday, its a fuel pump from a MG MGF 1.8 16v fitted in no problems just had to use the filter from the new pump change the fuel hose and recrimp new terminals, car now idles much nicer now but i have a fuel leak comming from top of tank as the clip on pipes cant seem to handle the new pressure ill have to get it back on the ramp when my mates moved his 2l corsa of it lol its only dripping sightly but its stinking the car out so got to change plastic hose on top of the pump to rubber and jubalee clip it and that should sort it out.

also back on the rollers next monday for its final setup last time it hit 67bhp but was starved of fuel past 4000rpm so he only ran the test to 4000rpm. i thiought 67 seemed bit **** although the car does shift well when it goes back on rollers itll have enough fuel pressure to take it to 7200rpm so then ill see its true figure, hoping for somthing around 85bhp as its only the low blow kit i have which is a shame (ill get a metal gaskget to alter it to low comp)

Re: My seicento Project

Wow even on a low boost turbo you were getting fuelling issues, of course it coudl have been your pump was tired, but still makes me wonder how on earth any hi-boosts ever lasted any length of time as standard pump and pressure is just far too low to give enough juice on boost, especially as teh 2nd injectors are made to flow at 3bar as standard, so on 08-1.2 bar they must have been trickling fuel out of them.

TBH any Walbro ppump with the same fittings will fit, as Walbro only make i think 6 styles of pump, Bosch only make 4 which cover 95% of the whole OE market.

The kit supllied with new pumps from Fuel System include fuel pipe hose clips, although i reused teh standard ones but I did have the correct pliers to reuse them. Make sure you have no leaks whatsoever as any leak is a potential fire hazard and you may find that a R/R will not accept a car with any leaks.

Re: My seicento Project

YO

this is the most crazyest sei / car i have ever seen

you mentioned u were having 5.1 surround.

just wondering what processor/head unit you are using for 5.1?

and really, its not 5.1 because you dont have a centre channel, unless you have a mental processor?

and really, its either just 5 channel surround, or 5.2

dont wana sound like i'm slating, the car is awewsome, can't wait to see it in the flesh. shame no lambo doors, that would be a mint sight.

yo must have a **** load of money and time on your hands! if i had your budget for this car i would buy myself a nice place in the country! lol

peace out,

AxelEph

Re: My seicento Project

yeah your right lol i have in reaity 4.1 surround as i havent got a centre channel mixing but it sounds wicked with DVDs playing as the sound flicks from all the channels the headunit is capable of doing the 4.1

budget is basically unlimited as for the past 2 years this projects been going on just lost count of the money spent on it. just keeps me occupied but it will be finished intime for the next fiat forum weekender sprayed and kitted up just need £2k more to finish the car then its onto saving for BMW mini cooper s most probally :\ or a deposit for a house? who knows lol

Re: My seicento Project

Todays update

engine blows its gasket

thermostat got jammed and basically caused the engine to overheat, next thing cyliner 2 was full of water and couldn't turn the engine

so head off and inspect the engine....

heads getting skimmed tomorrow and hi-boost conversion will now be taking place a month earlier then expected.

Re: My seicento Project

Be careful when having it skimmed, get the minimal off, or none if not required. If your going hi boost the last thing your going to want to do is raise the CR any further
