Re: induction kit

it improves the air flow into the throttle body, potentialy improving the performance of the engine. Certain kits are better than others but if your on a budget, a K&N panel in the standard filter will do the job as this improves the flow more than the standard paper filter but doesnt actualy get any more air in.

to be honest I dont think its worth buying the bolt on k&n filter to go on the top of the throttle body. its pointless and just makes noise. It just sucks in hot air which wont help performance atall.

save up a bit and get a GSR induction kit as they are superb. They use a long silicone hose to put the filter to a cooler part of the engine bay and so suck in cooler air and more of it becuase of its design over the standard box. The tubing design creates extra torque so you will notice a performance increase. They arent cheap though at around £120 but are worth the money and im sure many people here will agree.

Re: induction kit

Having bought the GSR on Saturday i strongly recommend it! It is £89 if you go to Ace/Brooklands/any meet Peter (Oldschool) goes to, but for that money you get a new bob, silicone pipe, all the correct bolts etc for fitting and obviously the cone. you can have it in a choice of colours and you will feel the effects! i had a K&N on my other cinq, which cost £35 i think, and for the extra it makes such a difference!

You also get 20% discount from Pete as a FF member.

Hope this helps

Thread with pics etc

well, my vacuum advance is stuffed so I blocked the pipe from the carb off until I have time to replace it.
