Rear bumper

Hey, when i got my cinq abarth, it was in shoddy form, one owner since new, it had been cleaned twice!!!! Its broom yellow, it was that dirty u cudnt tell the colour [V] V neglected, anyway, we have cleaned it up a treat, looks reasonably new now. The back bumper had a huge crack under the rear, right, light. We got that plastic welded and re-sprayed. Now its cracked again ;) and im not best pleased :( Does anyone know out of interest, how much a rear bumper for a cinq is? It has the abarth lower apron, id this de-tachable? I may just get it welded again after xmas, as i dont have money to burn, just curious how much one would be. Cheers, Graham :D

yeah, the rear apron will simply unbolt (so im led to believe!)
you can get a new rear apron from:

GRS Engineering - £100.73 (plastic) OR £109.77 (fibreglass)
FastFiat - £98.00 (plastic)

i personally cant recommend fastfiat,as ive never used them, but i can recommend gsr, and if you gave them a ring they may even match the price of fastfait... you never know!

fixing bumpers seems to be my speciality now since i repaired my bashed up cinq! dont bother with continous welding because with them keep heating around the area its making it weaker-plus it doesnt actually repair the crack usually just holds the insides off the bumper rigid to each other.

Its time to get ur super adhesive plysterene glue out- ur fibreglass and some colour match!

il run u through it if you like! bumper will have to cum off! but if your willing to do it urself its gona cost about 20-30 max!

ian

whos ur daddy!???

hmm...well...after i got it welded...i noticed that if u stand back from the car, the top of the bumper thats barely visable beneath the boot, is pissed. I take it the heat has warped it[?] I have the abarth lower apron as mines the abarth model, this piece is fine...im after a rear bumper, the top half, i guess one off a standard cinq will do. Can they be bought new? Anyone got one they want shot of? Regards, g ;)

My local motorfactors quoted me £35 for front bumper primed and unpainted, so I assume the rear bumper would be the same or cheaper.

Was the wife's but its mine now!!
