Its not bad i got mine done for 150 from a guy who just did them in summer. He did a really go job aswell. Problem is he said that in winter it wont dry or as quick which could result in not as go of a job. But some people might see different, never know

Depends on where you have the windows done, if you go to a proper window tinting workshop it shouldnt be a problem in the winter, however if you have it done outside then this could be true, however having it done not in a proper workshop isnt recommended anyway, as you are not in the correct light setting, and dust partucles from the air stick to the film and spoil the finish.

Smile Re: Window Tinting

have you never thought of doing it yourself its quite easy you know ????

All you need is :

a stanley knife
a squirty bottle filled with warm soapy water
a hair dryer
a green scourer
clear nail varnish
a squeegie (window cleaners use them )
a mate to help

firstly remove the windows and clean them thoroughly with hot soapy water and use the stanley knife to remove all gritty parts (go up and down with the blade at a 30-35 degree angle)

then make moulds of your windows with some paper (quite big sheets )
apply the moulds to the film and cut (a little bit bigger tho so u can trim later )

spray window with soapy water and seperate the film (from backing)
apply to the window, the soap allows you to move the film till your happy

once the film is in place get your mate to hold the film at the top of the window and you squeegie the window till the water is all out from under the film

then use the hair dryer slowly dry the film makin sure there's no bubbles forming anywhere

then once nearly dry apply the nail varnish to the edge of the window all the way round
then let that dry and trim the edges of the window

only put the window in once it has totally dryed out

ive done about 15 cars and rarely have any probs with them

any questions just ask :P

Re: Window Tinting

The rear sidewindows are really easy to do... Did them myself.
But I can remove my rear rearside windows and I ques you can't? I removed them, took them in the house and put the folio on. NO PROB at all.

BUT!!!

When you can't remove a window like my rear window IT'S HELL and if I would do it again i'll get it done at a specialist. Lukely my dead got steel nervs... cus else my rear window wasn't tinted .
