(S) Gear knob

Hi all.

Ive just brought a new gear knob for my cinq. my old one went all funny.
Just woundered how you put them on as the new one i have just got is a screw on and the old one isn't. I also have to push down to reverse?

can't work it out!!!

Please Help me

tsk you should have asked before buying. you need an omp adaptor(bout £10) for the push reverse to work as is,but these only really fit omp gearknobs. what i did was cut down the original shaft and fitted the gear knob on there, to select reverse i actually grab the collar of the old shaft and push down.

always meant to mod it to work as OE but got used to it and never bothered

so ill just be better taking this one back and getting a omp one. i take it omp are a make??

yes OMP are a make.........I've also heard on here that Sparco and Isotta fit on the adaptor aswell as the OMP ones. You can buy the adaptor online from here http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog...roducts_id=328

well i have a sparco and can tell yuo it didnt fit the adaptor

Exactly wat i've done, good to lean on the stick in heavy traffic without it pushing down lol, Wat i did was the collar that usually screws on to the gear nob i bought is now wat i pull down to push on the old shaft, I shaved off the thread using a dremal on the collar and gearnob so it can freely slid up and down activating the push down bit.
