Red face blacking out the windows!?

Hey guys

Apologes if this has been raised (which im sure it has) many times before. I wish to get my rear windows completly blacked out as i carry alot of expensive kiting gear around with me and want to stop peeping toms looking in all the time
i'm in the london area so if any one could recommend any or if you have an approximate cost of having this done it would be a great help!

ta

a red abarth yea, got written off august of last year, but i am buying another one on the weekend hehe!!!

no probs either!!! if u decide to get the front side ones done, u have to make sure they let 70% light through, so have to have light smoke, on the rear sides and the back window u can have whateva u want tho!

I would recommend that you went to a proper window tiniting firm rather that someone that is mobile and visits you.

The main reason for this is that dust particles in the air can lead to the look being spoiled, i.e dust stickin to film, which means the finish could be poor. You are also not in the correct light setting if it is done at home rather than at a proper workshop, as the film could be drying and setting long before it is fitted to the windows.

If i were you i would avoid mobile window tinting companies, and go to a proper workshop

Re: blacking out the windows!?

very good point, the best tints are chemical where instead of film being stuck on, the windows are dipped, depends on what look your going for and how much your gonna spend, (and what the ins wants) xxx

all valid point, ask wimmy about the finish on his bravo, they did his and smee's IIRC and the work they did on his was supurb!

I wasnt saying that they were necessrily a bad company, and wimmys do look mint (abeit illegal :P) but obviously i wanted to make the point of the negatives of a mobile set up, if that is the path you choose to take, at the end of the day it is your descision, and i believe there is now a balanced arguement.
