u cant buy "bad-boy bonnets" for the cinq, if u speak to any decent body shop they should be able to do one for you for a reasonable cost, dependin of course on how well u kno the guys who run it!

What do you class as resonable and what do they actually do?
Will I have to replace my lights or does the bonnet litterally sit over the corners of them?

I live in Leeds/West Yorkshire if anyone knows someone who does it.

Re: Where do I get a Bad Boy bonnet from?

well pretty much anywhere can do it... of course the better rep the body shop has, the better quality the job will be and the more it will cost!

and no u wont have to change the lights, they should be done so the corners sit over the lights, which is y i would say leave them your car so they can make sure and not guess!

basically they make the bad boy corners, then just weld them onto the bonnet above the lights!

personally i would only go to a garage that had done more than 1 before, and has the pics to proove it, but it is totally upto u, isnt very hard to do if u kno metal work and can weld!

The bonnet will sit above the lights. Usually they will add some extra 'bits' to the bonnet that will extend down over the lights. Usually fibreglass or welded on to the bonnet.

EDIT: Just seen above.

I did wonder if people converted them with fibreglass, although this way you are more likely to get cracks later. I'd say welding is the better option (actually I'd say leaving it alone is best as I dont like BB bonnets, but each to their own! ).

Re: Where do I get a Bad Boy bonnet from?

try and make sure they dont do it in fibreglass, although it would be the easier option, over time and slams of the bonnet it will eventually crack

what any decent place would do is weld, it saves any comeback a few months, maybe a year down the line

ideally they would pull the bonnet forward slightly and craft a piece of metal around the lights, once that is done and the bonnet shuts normally, they will then fill in the join and smooth over it with fibreglass and filler

like custard said, mine did cost that much, it was there first time too, they took there time and care with it and it turned out excellent, it can now be seen on babysei's car, it was totally transferable, although we had to play around with it so it sat over the lights properly
