Re: 70mm offset?

70mm? Hell, what width are they? That's 40mm more toward the centre of the car than a standard Cento Sporting alloy!

Re: 70mm offset?

I'd be surprised if the 70mm was right. Ask Steve C - he's got an Alfa Sprint.

Re: 70mm offset?

Hi Jamie
AAron`s ritmo rims only had a 60mm offset and thats massive. The wheels i`m looking at might actually be the pink ones you are going to look at.
Cheers

Re: 70mm offset?

Yes my rims do have an off-set of 60mm which is the biggest I've seen, 70mm does sound excessive. I had to use 30mm spacers to give me a 30mm offset & they were easily the biggest spacers I found. They were from FK Automotive & cost £200 so v.v. expensive but wonderfully engineered. The spacers bolt to the hub then the wheels bolt to the spacers with the existing bolts & actually makes putting your wheels back on easier than it was before as they have a hub locater which means you put the wheel on & it will sit on the hub & let you turn the wheel to line up the bolt holes!

This page explains it & shows you how to measure if its not stamped on the wheel rim.

Re: 70mm offset?

Hi
Steve c said his car has a 40mm offset sounds more like it.
Still i think i`ll leave em just in case.I think the wheels are from an alfa 33 originally. So no idea what offset they use.
Cheers
Adrian

Re: 70mm offset?

40mm sounds rite to me, it was only the MK3 Strada 130TC that had the 60mm offset (as I said I had never came across anything that big before), all the others had 40mm and I'm sure FWD Alfa's are the same, you have had a reply from an Alfa owner confirming this, plus 10mm spacers can be had for little money.

If the wheels are nice & are cheap then why not give them a shot, you can always resell them again on eBay or something.

Aaron.

PS just a little point I remembered, some companies list spacers with a off set for the whole car, i.e. 2 10mm spacers are sold as 20mm offset if you see what I mean, ask the guy if he means a 70mm off set per pair i.e. 2 wheels with 35mm offset.
