Re: Chrome cam cover?

Don't know for sure where the other guys got their stuff, but I know that back in Glasgow there is an electro plating company who chrome plate all sorts of stuff from Jag E-Type & original Beetle bumpers & hub caps to rocker covers, so I would imagine there are similar companies down here. A flick through the yellow pages may show some.

Either that or someone does them, I know there are a good few Renault tuners have them in stock for the 5 etc (yes I know another referance to the Frenchies), just haven't had the time with the Fiat yet to find out an equivalent type company.

Aaron.

edited to say, you could just take it off & polish it, something I've never done but all metal can be polish eventually with the right equipment & time!

Re: Chrome cam cover?

Not a very good idea at all. You'd at least have to leave the bonnet down and put the car in the garage..., but even thenit could cause problems. Just get one from a scrappy for 10 quid or somin!

Re: Chrome cam cover?

mase; slap some cling film over the head if you take the rocker off, then your good to paint away (just remember you need high temp paint to do the rocker cover, although i found hammerite smooth works too )
