Seat Covers??

I have been looking for some seat covers for my cinq and cant seem to find any.

I see 2 main problems.

1) Head Rests dont seem to come off so all the ones in halfords that go over the seat without headrest are no good.

2) Also you need access to the toggle thing to move the seats forward so people can get in the back. And again none of the ones I have seem have this.

People on here and else where must have seat covers for their Cinq?? I just want a nice plane black set or something.

Am I asking to much?

Re: Seat Covers??

I thought about this on my SX prior to getting the Sporting and devised the following cunning plans:

1.Headrests come off fairly easily...theres a black plastic bit where the headrest goes into the seat, that should have a button on it!

2. I was thinking put a small cut in it, then undo the handle assembly, push it thru, then do it back up.

Bear in mind these are only ideas, not actual fact...

Hmmmmmm, they come off but you break them if you take them off, Hippycinq took hers of to recover her seats and ended up using other headrests cos they could be upholstered.

IMO, just give the seats a good clean and don't cover them or it'll look like a taxi, albeit a very small one!

You could if you really wanted, make incisions on the seat cover to fit the seat then sew up the parts after you fit them right.

Re: Seat Covers??

i had seat covers in my uno (the red dragon ones that sometimes end up on ebay, there actually really nice)... dont want em in my cinq tho as the original seats match my colour scheme heh

anyway, the Uno seats were pretty similar design wise to the cinq ones. for the handle on the side i just made a little cut and stretched it over the handle... worked great for a few weeks but with people sitting in the seat and moving around etc, the hole soon became a large cut and looked a mess... ah well

anyway, get some seat covers that have seperate head rest covers, they look better imo and are easier to put on. they have a slit in the top of the cover to slide it over the original head rest and then i just used my amazing sewing skills to sew the slit together to make it look more like a proper seat. never used the head rest covers tho.

There are lots of fag burns on the seat from the previous owner and it looks a mess, some seat covers ( not boy racer style ) will sort this a treat.

Re: Seat Covers??

When I had my cinq, i had a set of the leather look ones from argos, they fitted fine, my seats folded in the front no problem with them on, also the back seats moved etc with them on no problem, and the head rest pads just slip over the top so you do not have to remove them.

it came as 2x front seats, 2x front head rest covers, 1x back seat bottom, 1x back seat top and 2x back seat head rests.

Re: Seat Covers??

ok i've got a punto but you could have a look at the ones ive got.
They are "steps" from motor world , they cover the whole of the headrest and chair, you can use the level to move them forward easily without cutting anything and they feel realy good and dont sag.
I've had plenty of people saying good things about them so they are prob worth a look
