| can go much lower  | Gear Knob What a bag of arse it is to remove the gear knob on the cinq sx (one with leather gaiter) It took me 2 hours to remove the old one.. Was there an easier way than with about 4 stanley knives and a hacksaw? Adam

| Drives a Punto | Re: Gear Knob i think there is a tool that can be used to take it off, not sure right now what its called.... i was thinking about changing my gearknob, but i was told it needs to be replaced with one of the pushy down ones  , so i gave up on the idea.

 | Re: Gear Knob on a 889cc cinq you just get a strong long screwdriver and a lump hammer and hammer the screwdriver up the inside of the gearknob and keep belting it with the lump hammer till it flys off and hits you in the face. at least thats what i did on mine and then just bolted on the gearknob same as any other car as the 899 have no lift up reverse like the sportings.
