Tv's in a cinq?

Has anyone done this?

I had the idea of maybe fibre-glassing a 15" tft on the passenger side but don't think it'll fit without major modification?

Anyone else got any stupid ideas that'll look great if it would work?

Cheers

Re: Tv's in a cinq?

i've got a 7" widescreen TFT with tv tuner in the Sei... u can get aerials from ebay for like £20. it'd prolly fit fine on the cinq dash with it being flatish.

not bad if ur parked up... don't bother if ur on the move.

Re: Tv's in a cinq?

as below. yup, fitted myself, this was taken during fittin to make sure it all worked before i hid the wires hence the mess. not the best install.
they're removable due to security risks. but the stands are still in the car. i'll prolly move it all now with the new headset acting as a master AV source.
the aerial position depends on car.. i placed mine on A pillars.

Re: Tv's in a cinq?

My plan was to fibreglass the area with the tv on the shelf bit (technical name).

Sextons (rip-off) priced it at £250 for a days work.

So hopefully that'll be the most expensive price.

Re: Tv's in a cinq?

I was gonna install an 8" as well it was just a "little" something extra really, nothing bigger would fit in the gap i think as it goes from that 2.5" to 5.6" doesn't it?

Re: Tv's in a cinq?

I've also got my insurance raised to cover audio upto £1000 so none of that is an issue really.

Just need some ideas of what to do and how to do it really?!

Re: Tv's in a cinq?

Yeah that looks quite good would rather see the finished thing though as obviously it all looks a bit rough at the moment.
