| Fitting front + rear bumpers, side skirts and a spoiler...any advice? Ok so i've been putting this question off, purely because i know it will probably have a very simple answer, but i suppose if i never ask i will never know and i obviously dont want to shed out hundreds of pounds to then be stuck! So here goes, ive got a basic 2000 model Seicento S, (the one with the black plastic bumpers) i want to start adding some modifications onto it (mainly style orientated not performance until my insurance bracket goes down), im thinking a front and rear bumper, side skirts, spoiler, lexus lights, debadging. Ive looked through the FAQ's and the Guides section aswell as browsing the good old internet but im struggling to find out how the bumpers and the spoiler are fixed exactly to the car. Is it something i'll be able to do myself (bare in mind i have no experience!) or is it something id have to get fitted? I understand this is probably and extremely simple question but like i said i dont want to buy it and then be stuck with it! Thanks for your time, its much appreciated! Andy

| RIP L181 VBB | Re: Fitting front + rear bumpers, side skirts and a spoiler...any advice? Bumpers are screwed on, so will be a number of bolts to undo, and no doubt some that are hidden away when you think you have them all out! side skirts, majority glue them with strong bonding glue like tiger seal etc, some glue them AND bolt them with a couple of screws, self tappers etc Spoiler is glued on with a product simialr to above Spoiler and skirts, whilst the glue is drying are usually clamped into place Any modification, be it for styling rather than performance, as these parts were not fitted to an S as standard, should be declared on insurance or else it will be invalid so you will probably take a hit anyway on your insurance

| custodian of imola blue | Re: Fitting front + rear bumpers, side skirts and a spoiler...any advice? Mind you, it should be a modest hit. Rear bumpers are a direct swap, all Seis. It's possible to fit facelift Sei fronts on SPI cars and vice versa, but the indicators need to be swapped and -- I think -- the front mounts are slightly different. No big deal, though.
