Spax 60/40

Does anyone run these springs?

I've seen some pictures of the smaller drop kit, but a search for the 60/40 has turned up nothing.

Re: Spax 60/40

On Cinqs, use the Sei Spax kit: the Cinq one causes stress cracks in the chassis cos the set up doesn't have enough compliance. The Sei sets are much more sensible.

The sei kits don't offer the same drop.

Never knew about the stress cracks - where does that normally happen on them?

Re: Spax 60/40

On the B frame, just around the door catch -- usually driver's side first. At least, this is the only place I've spotted them. I think someone reported cracks on the A frame, but that was -- it seems -- cos he'd fitted the shocks or springs wrong.

To be honest, there's nowt to be gained from dropping more than 40 on a Cinq or Sei, and a lot to be lost (practicality, excess wear in pot joints, steering, etc.) unless it's purely a track car.

That's where I thought it'd go (B frame).

I was just asking out of curiosity more than anything.

Re: Spax 60/40

This is on SPAX's

I'd definately concur with fingers buy the ones designed for the Sei after driving the cars back to back the difference is unreal.. the cinq just didn't feel or corner as fast as the Sei..

Even though in theory the suspension should be the same

KW's. normal setup for the rear tho(but -50mm),no one does coilovers for the rear (i think) but from a discussion at the weekend, we (me+john) reconed they can be fitted without too much work.
