Carbon Door Cards

Ive been looking everywhere for door cards for the Sei but cant seem to find any. they make them for almost everything else :-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fiat-Punto-Mk1...QQcmdZViewItem

would love something like this but after i got my Sei i have found finding parts for them is a nightmare! even alloys which are easy to find for almost everything else can take forever and toget the wheels u want requires milling or drilling etc.
Anyway back to the point has anyone else tried making their own door cards? i was thinking if i do i will only replace the trim part of the door and not cover the whole thing.

aka the grey bit!

Re: Carbon Door Cards

The Novitec air box is for a sei, the CDA could be fitted to a gsr for a sei.

Re: Carbon Door Cards

Complete waste of carbon. As door cards it won't save any weight, will need gluing or velcroing on and will scratch like buggery.

It's a structural engineering material, and a good material for relatively complex molded shapes. Outside of those parameters, it has no purpose, why use it when all it shows is your inability to use it properly?

Plenty of opportunities to use it where it'll have some effect.

alright mate calm down, it was just an idea to clean up the inside of the car. i dont hear big objections when people talk about things like neons. in my opinion the only place for lights is on the front and back of the car not underneath and in silly places but i dont call people 'gormless cretin's' for thinking they will look cool.
i take your point however about the structural qualities of CF and how its not best used as a door card. anyway thanks for the input i hadnt thought about it scratching and if i put it in to look cool and it gets all scratched its going to look the opposite.

Re: Carbon Door Cards

I don't like neons (or tints, or de-wipered cars either).

Nice uses for carbon include bumpers, bonnets, hatches and the doors themselves: you could even have a carbon door that doesn't need a card!
