Stainless Braided or Blue Samco?

Well one of the oil breather lines has started to split on the Turbo forcing me to change it, i was planning to change them at some point anyway but as it was just going to cosmetic it wasn't a top priority.

Anway I was pricing up Samco lines for the breathers and the fuel lines and it works out mega expensive, so as an alternative i was thinking of just using braided stainless instead and i rekon these might actualy look better as it actually matches all the other pipe work, (plus it is a hell of a lot cheaper)

opinions.......

Re: Stainless Braided or Blue Samco?

On oil and fuel I would got for the braided ones (and this is coming from someone who tries to sell you silicone).

Unfortunately silicone doesn't like oil very much and even the fluoro lining is not good enough unless it is breather pipes.

Re: Stainless Braided or Blue Samco?

You know that is my problem, the silicone looks good but I have heared too many stories lately of spilt silicone lines that have put me off a bit, which (beside the cost) is pushing me towards braided
