Question 195/45/r14

Alrite, can anybody help me??

Ive brought some Brock B5 alloys with 195/45/R14 tyres on. Ive had them on my Cinquecento SX for 2 months now and i put some Spring Assistors on. To stop them catching when i go round some fast corners. Also when i have someone in the back the back wheels catch on the arches.

As anyone got any idea's?? Whats best to do??

Thanks Spen

You shouldn't need the spring assisters and there should not be any contact with the arches: it's simply a matter of getting the offset right. What's the ET on them?

Re: 195/45/r14

what setup elsewhere have you got? i.e. spacers etc

i had this setup and it used to catch on the rears with a rear load on a 6j wheel and 10mm spacers

brock B5's generally 7" wide in their thinnest size so its not the offset causing the issues as such

Yep. I dunno why people do this. If they are 7", I really can't see any way of getting them to fit aside from rolling the arches and/or using spacers to decrease the offset. If the adjusted offset is more than 10mm outside the original, the car is possibly dangerous.

Without knowing the ET (it's stamped on the wheels, FCS!) I can't say anymore.

save yourself some grief and read this
http://www.fiatforum.com/cinquecento...s-pcd-all.html
this is why the faq's are the default sig to make it easy or people to find and on things like this maybe save them buying alloys that are near impossible to fit without big spends

Re: 195/45/r14

In that case thank your lucky stars you are only gettin min. rubbing. 7'' on 14'' isnt a particular good combo on a cento.

Unless you are willing to spend big ££££ then i suggest leaving it alone and living with the small rubbing you are getting.

Either that or get something a bit more sensible

Re: 195/45/r14

Thanks everbody for ur elp btw. Ive bin tryin to sort out my wheels lol. Bin to a few garages and they say i need upgraded suspension or my arches wider.

Does anyone know if the standard Cinquecento Sporting suspension is siffer than the Cinquecento SX??

Btw wen i went to the garage one of the blokes said its illegal for wheel to be sticking on the arches (Fenders) i fort there was a limit for this like - 1", anyboby know about that??

Please elp if you can many thanks to all!!

Re: 195/45/r14

Don't think the Sporting suspension is any stiffer as such, but it is 20mm or so shorter.

Yep. Sticky out wheels are illegal. You might get away with a little, but it's illegal.
