| umop apisdn | Re: Rat Cinq?!!? I think my cinq qualifies as 'rat cinq' If you saw my silver cinq sporting at Stanford or Gaydon the past two years you will see the vandalism damage. I keep meaning to get it re-sprayed. Infact I've replaced 2 panels so far (de-ratting?) but I've always kept the mechanical parts in good nick, done some modifications (plenty more to come), put some nice alloys on, fitted Strada recaros, and these are thread bare, so adding to the rat look inside. There, I've convinced myself, its not a an embarasment, its a fashion statement

| Re: Rat Cinq?!!? Rat cars are the old origanal Hot Rods of the1940s in the U.S.they were called that cos people siad they look ratty because in them days they didnt have the the styling shops like nowdays they were just old cars that the G.Is got there hands on when they came home from the war because it was all they could afford and just uprated them with bigger engines stripping them down to the bear essentials to go faster, personly I dont think the Euro type cars suit it ie: Golfs but I am not slagging anyone off who likes them, here is some pictures of what I ment, personly I think a lowerd debadged cinq with a turbo engine in it would surprise a few, espceialy when they here the whoosh from the dump valve and the burbble from the exhaust the noise people nomaly here from scoobys & stuff. those noises do make people turn and look I remember that when I owned escort turbo & cosworth days (sorry to mention fords). I think I might of posted this twice derrr !!!
