Leather Interiors

Hey Folks

I am having my leather interior made in January and i am going to help the company make some DIY kits for Seicento's.
They have been doing MINI DIY kits for years with awesome results and his leather work is second to none.

The kit will include : -

Seats
Door Cards
DVD fitting guide

the leather seat cover replacements are simple to fit and replace the standard covers.
it is a lot cheaper than paying a company to do a full interior re-trim.

i will post pictures of my interior when its done and the company's details for others to get hold of

i am having Yellow leather bolsters and headrest with black leather centres, the door cards are going black with yellow stitching, and the roof lining will probably be going black (not sure yet)

any intrest?

Any other colour options?

is for the Sei mpi interior with the rear head rests?

any idea what the cost would be? and choice of colours?

it will be interesting to see how they will managed to do a diy version for people with no experience of stitching without it looking like a leather covers.

yeah sounds like they will be a set of covers like from halfords lol save up and get a retrim like alaina hers are sexy lol

i've done quite a few refits from kits on classic cars in the past (MG's and Triumphs) these have been perfectly acceptable as the construction of the seats made it reasonably simple to do and the finish was a good as when it left the factory (OK this is BL we are talking about here so that not the DB's).

Obviously this is not as good as a custom refit as quite often these are better than a manufacturer would ever have done in mass production but it has possibilities if you are looking for a different and practical interior at a much lower pirice

and i stress a MUCH LOWER PRICE than custom

Not quite if I understand this right. There should be no stitching involved; they'll be like the sort of retrim kits that the likes of Newton Commercial offer.

What I imagine the kit will be is the back cover and the seat base cover which will be fully made up - you have to 'walk' the covers over the seats to fit them after removing the old covers.

So it'll be like the seat covers you can get from Halfords, but a more specific fit for the seat.

thats what i tried to explain but to no avail. lol

you strip the std seat and refit the new covers based on the std seat pattern in ANY colour option, when i have it done i will put the cost and all the relevent details up on here.

If they can do a Cinq rear seat and Abarth TC front seats (the famous Recaros) I'd be very interested!

if they have the pattern of the original seats IE my sei seats, they can do it.

Going to be mid january when its done.

Pleaase ask them about the Recaros -- I can drop off a seat as a pattern. Blue has Abarth Twin Cam front seats, while everything else (trimwise) is stock Sporting.

Any advance on this?
