Demon tweeks

Don't bother with a 'road' one, they are dangerous. If you get one, get the real one.

Cheers

A Race cage conects in about 8 places and stiffens the car lots.
It also has proper bars that absorb side impacts and distribute stresses around the structure.

A Road cage usually has 2 hoops and 4-6 connections. Its just designed for form and not function. Also why have a rear only cage? Yu are in the front of the car!

The cage comes in bits to be assembled inside the car. You could not bother fitting the front cage and door bars if you so wished. For a road car the door bars are probably a bit OTT, but the front cage only needs a bit cut out of each side of the front shelf to make it fit.

Cheers

Do they need welding in, or can you bolt them?

Varies.

OMP's "road" cages generally bolt in.
I Think that for FIA homolgation a cage must be welded in.
But I think ive seen bolt in OMP race cages
