Abarth Spoiler from fastfiat.com

Hullo again - i seem to be taking up a lot of bandwidth today.

I have got an abarth spoiler for my cinq from fastfiat.com

Wanted a GSR one - cheaper, but they couldnt get me one till July. So i got one on there.

Anyroad. The fitting of said spoiler?

The instructions I got with it were, ahem, basic. I got the spoiler, three allen scrtew and threee washers. And three black plastic strip things with pointy up bits about 2/3 along them.

Now, as i understand it, the pointy up bit of the black strip goes in the hole on the spoiler. The back of said strip then gets double sided sticky taped. The spoiler is test fitted and with any luck the strips stay on the tailgat, enabling easy recognition of where the holes need to go. Accurate?

If not, tell me where Im going wrong.

And also, do the holes correspond to any gaps in the int. of the tailgate? I had a look and they dont appear too, and if not, how the hell do you screw the allen screw up?

Or do you drill thgrough both tailgate skins (int. and ext.) and use mega long screws?

Advice advice... me a dunce!

Sam (and Geoff)

You can kiss my flat-ass

when i did it i used the black tab things. selotaped em down and then took the spoiler off and it gave a fairly acurate idea ofg where the hole will be... drilled em through both layers of the tailgate and got some longer screws from b&q as the ones that came with it are about 3cm too short...

the holes wernt perfectly acurate but with a bit of fiddling and making the holes slightly bigger i got it on and it looks great !

lol - I always think it polite to ask before using drills or hammers over 2lb on other people's cars!
