Re: Alloysssssssss....

Have a look at Karl's (ladinnotts) thread in the styling section - he spaced his standard alloys.

You mean a lower strut brace? (I don't think there was a rear brace available for a Cinq). Will probably hit every speed bump going if the car's lowered at all.

Re: Alloysssssssss....

ive got thos alloys on my sei. and im running 15mm all around with extended bolts. and yes the spacers do make a difference. especially on turn ins. ive jsut lowerd my sei so the handling has been transfrormed yet again. if you would like the link to the spacers i purchased just drop me a pm. i would get those alloys aswell if i was you. there good quality.

Re: Alloysssssssss....

if you going 15mm you best off with hub centric bolt on spacers

Re: Alloysssssssss....

yeah, i did put 32mm spacers on the back, but it was a little too much, it scrubed a fair bit. bunno if it would if it was standard height, but lowered it does, even after i rolled my arches. i'd say the safest for the furthest out, go for 20mm, nothing more. thats of corse with standard width and offset. higher offset and you aloowd to go wider, lower offset, and you gonna want less of a spacer.

Re: Alloysssssssss....

im on 15mm spacers,i know it lowered but the tyres do scrub on the arches quite abit and the offset is 38 so theres only 7.5 mm of spacing compaired to standard

Re: Alloysssssssss....

You don't really want to be putting strut braces on without changing the suspension for lowered springs and shortened shocks, on a standard setup your only going to induce more understeer

Cheers
Chris

PS. Alex (GhostWKD) has upper and lower strut braces and 60mm drop all round so he's probably good guy to ask how much it catches

Re: Alloysssssssss....

no lower brace, lower brace on 60mm just wont go, trust me on that, i cant make it over all speed bumps as it is plus ground out occasionally on the twisty bits, with lower brace it'll ground all the time... plus if you hit the lower brace on something it'll pull tracking out at the very least

I do however run a novitec arb and upper brace plus the usual susp stuff

Re: Alloysssssssss....

yes hitting the lower strut brace does knock the tracking out...ALOT

mines lowered about 60mm but im on 14"s and i havent caught mine for along time.with 13"s on tho a did get a few little scrapes.

But this is after alot a bashing ect so it is slightly mis-shaped to miss the bumps now.
