Best tyre for a 14" Wheel on Cinq ?

If the width is 5.5J (and they're 14" wheels) Conti Sport. If the width is 6J and they're 14", Uniroyal Rainsport. In 185/50/14 and 195/45/14 respectively.

As someone said, the tyres that are on the wheels will possibly both look daft, loose you a lot in acceleration and handle wierd. There may even be issues with rubbing.

What's this doing in the styling section anyway? You think tyres are about looking pretty?

Disagree, i would say yokos A539 are better on 195/45/14

This is a problem with a thread like this, no one is right or wrong and we never end up giving a good answer for OP as its too open ended although thats not fault of OP

ah probably are 14s then, but they on a bravo, offset be all wrong for a cinq, you be looking at getting spacers i reckon

Yeah, a few members have had those on Cinqs and Puntos

So just to clarify.. i if got those..

i would need some, 195/45/14 Tyres, and they would be good yea ?
And some spacers ? what kind of spacers are needed and how much are we looking at for a price.

Plus the alloys look they need a good ol' refurb, and some new center caps.
Just trying to add up the cost.

You guys think they are worth it ?

can some one explain the tyre thing to me - how do you know about the first number 195 ans the second number 50 ive never understood what they ment.

im glad this topic has come up as it saves me starting a new thread. i need some new tyres for the cinq as that is hadling really bad, and if i can understand some of the tyre info ill have a go at working out what tyres i might need my self.

First number is tyre width in mm.

Second number is aspect ratio - the number is the percentage of the tyre width, i.e. the height of the tyre sidewall for a 185/50 tyre is 50% of 185mm.

Spacers totally depend on the offset - ask the seller

If the alloys are 5.5J 195/45s are too wide to be safe - stick to 185/50.

Start a new thread in one of the other sections: more people will see it, and they'll be less likely to be stoned on polyester and paint fumes!

You might start off by describing how the handling is bad and what the car is running.........

Yeah, maybe you're right, maybe not. We'll never know till we do a back to back test. On t'other hand, I've seen picks of what happened when Fluffy the Impaler hit the tyre wall at Donny, wearing, IIRC, Yokos in the wet......

When people post stories like thise above, in most cases its driver error that causes the problem rather than the tyre itself.

The Yoko isnt a specific wet tyre either and no excuses for crashing in the wet when going quickly
