Yep, you don't do it in the first place and leave the 6x9s in the shop

Chaos is an I.C.E nut and therefore considers 6x9s the spawn of satan
Go for it, been done a fair few times, must be a thread somewhere on here about it.

Too right - If you're gonna do it (and frankly I think its a bloody good idea ), use standard 100mm componant speakers (same size as what you have up front).
6x9's are waaaaaaaay to basey and, well basically it will sound ****e in such a small car.
Ideally you aught to go for speakers which can handle a slightly higher wattage (RMS max) than whatever you decide to use as front speakers - this way you can (if your head unit will let you - and in fairness if it's any good it will) alter the volume of the output to fade in favour of the rear speakers.

I've got mine set up with 80watts up front, 100 watts in the shelf (hehe, unless I follow suit and put them in the rear recesses) and a 400 watt sub at 1/4 output.
The rears are set up as a 60/40 fade (ish) in favour of the rear, and the sound is fairly crisp.

Re: Anyone Know How Tooo??...

Got Rob's old rear panels ready to go in mine. Will take some pics when i dig them out.

Just to bug chaos...

Now - Planning on genesis 6x9's subs and an amp. Those will be added to the original 6x9's front 4"s.

Full range 6x9s in the pannels or the stealth shelf / subs in the shelf or pannels?

Or just suck it and see?
