the exhaust is gone, the tints have gone and its had a few little mods. wheels, bumper and the "b" post got some vinyl on.

next mod it the bonnet, then its having a full re-spray as its a liitle oxidised to the point of no return, lol.

'B' Post vinyl and blacked out lower part of the bumper look

Black wheels, not to my taste but I think I'm in the minority when it comes to black wheels I still think silver looks better, or how about polishing the faces?

'Sad Boy' bonnet. Noooooooooooo! Really don't like those. Kiddie/ Chav mod these days and should be left to spotty 17 year olds with their Saxos or Corsa. Again, just my opinion but I could never get my head round obscuring the light output of the headlights purely in the name of aesthetics. The headlights weren't that bright to begin with so blocking their output and making them less bright is

As for the oxidised paint, you might be surprised at how much it can be rescued. My Uno had red paint that almost looked like red primer, but with a lot of cutting and polishing the shine came back deep and glossy. Regular polishing after that (say at 4 monthly intervals) has kept the shine and stopped it oxidising again.

Anyway, good luck with your car and as long as you are happy with the mods then go for it

tbh, i am in 2 minds about the bonnet, might just de-badge it first and go from there.

the paint, its not lost its shine, just going PINK. lol.

plus if i tint my bro's car and give him £80, he'll give it a full hit for me anyway. plus there's a few body repairs it could do with. just wanna freshen it up much as anything.

Thumbs up Re: a little pic update

its starting to look pretty nice mate :-)
I keep thinking about doing the B post on my car like yours, and had got it into my head that it was gonna be a spray job... how did you get about it with vinyl? is the vinyl really raised to the touch? I did a custom "cinq" decal for my boot after I debadged it, and the vinyl is quite raised to the touch.

Not 100% sure if all black cinq sporting alloys look right or not, but I've been toying with a similar idea myself - have you concidered getting the wheels spaced slightly on the axles to give the car a little wider looking profile?

funny enough you should mention the spacers, i was just thinking that earlier. i've got some 10mm laying about in my shed, with longer bolts, mine give them a try.

as for the vinyl, yeah its raised a little, but its gonna be. when i get it repainted, i've having the B post painted in satin black, so it doesn't shine as much.

centre grille is easy enough, either cut it all out and mesh it, or mask it off, sand it and paint it. i've done/doing half and half... (doing:-still needs mesh)

cut the left side out as far as the toeing eye. then painted the rest. i might even cut a hole in the bit i painted to the right side of the eye so i can fit air ducting.

paint for alloys... satin black. sand the alloys down a bit to get the laqure off then straight on with the satin black.

Re: a little pic update

theres a better pic for you. without spamming my own thread too much, lol.

to be fair, the pics do it no justice at all. it looks completely different with the alloys black. changes the appearence on how it sits on the road. its a case of you can never quite get that perfect angle with the camera, lol.

heres a better pic, but with out badboy. just de-bagde and colour coded sills.

does it chip? dunno i'm sure i'll find out soon enough, lol. use something like 1200 grit wet/dry paper. nice and fine so you dont get any score marks.

bonnet, yes, metal plate cut/bent to shape, mig welded, ground back, skimmed with filler, sand and paint. ensuring you also do the underside, to preent rusting.

back box, its a brand new standard box.
