What car polish is best for your fiat?

As it says, what car polish makes your fiat bravo, tipo, uno, punto or whatever you drive look like it's just arrived fresh from the showroom?

As a personal preference i love good old T-cut but have neglected it recently cause down the road from my house is some really good POLISH CAR CLEANERS!

So let us know what ya use!

I just use Barton chemicals supreme car polish. It's the Supagaurding that I do makes my car clean.


Oh hope you don't use T-Cut everytime you do your car its a cutting agent not really a polish!

I've tended to use Autoglym Super Resin Polish and Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine on my Alfa, although tried a whole range of stuff from P21s, Meguiars, Turtle Wax, Supagard...the list goes on. Regular washing is probably more important to keep the shine, I use various different ones but if you wash and dry properly regularly it'll keep the crap off and keep it looking tip top.

it depends what you mean by polish?

polish and wax are two different things. Polishes tend to be abrasives which can remove paint defects such as swirls and scratches but these work by removing part of the clear-coat. as such these should only be used very infrequently, once a year? depends on the paint depth / scratches / etc.

Waxes or sealants go on after a car has been polished and only give the best results when the paint is in top condition. These will give the car warmth (carnuba wax) or depth of shine (polymer -based stuff)

I did mine this weekend I used a very light abrasive 3M compound followed by Meguiars mirror glaze #7 followed by a coat of Harley wax and it came up a treat.

Everytime I wash the car I also give it a light wax. Only use a pure carnauba wax nothing with abrasives in other wise it will take of the Polish, wax layers etc.
The fresh waxing will blend with the old wax already on the car and should keep its shine for months to come.

I used zymol wax on mine, probably their cheapest one at about £12 from halfords. Its worth it just for the smell!

polish is bad. i only use carnauba wax products that contain nothing but carnauba wax (t1 wax if poss, or t2/2.5 will do). then i seal the wax with some sealant, autoglym finishing fluid is good for this. then it lasts for months and washing takes 5 mins. the dirt and water just drop off the paint, even after 4 months.
