Windscreen - SCRATCHED

is there anyway back from a scratched screen - or would I be best replacing?

Took it to the seaside and a couple of grains of sand must have embedded into the wiper blade - have replaced the blade - but the scratch remains

Halfords do a glass t-cut and they also stock turtle wax's version (£5.69)They'll remove surface scratches and marks as long as they are light and not too deep.

if oyur fully comp then see if glass repairs are free on your policy.often are

as mentioned there are glass t cuts, or other option is claim on your insurance, this wont affect your ncd either, i will have to pay a £75 excess first though i am fully comp as well (alot of insurers stopped the free windscreen claims)

Tried to get my cinq's windscreen scratch repaired (Windsreen wiper scratches)... in a word... Pffft.

Had to repace it in the end - £112 from RAC Auto Windscreens.

Best to swap it out chuck!

deuraglit metal polish use it gentley and they come out

I think you can buy polishing kits designed for light aircraft windscreens which take a battering or so I'm told - mostly a set of course to very fine wet & dry and polishing compound and mops IRC.
