Well elbow grease thingy brings back a memory to when I was a lad and in carpentry class our teachers name was Bob Mower we used to call him Mortice Mower and he heared me say that in one of the classes anyway I was turning a bowl on the lathe that day and started to apply the wax coat and polish it when he said to me come on boy use some elbow grease i looked at him he went into his pocket and pulled out half a crown and said nip down the local shop and get some as we are out of it so off I went and looked a right pratt when I got back to class without it

Re: cleaning chrome look exhaust??

pmsl classic that! 1 of my old Design tech teachers told one of my mates to go to the headmaster to say we were out of elbow grease and to ask him to get some, i almost pissed myself when my mate went happily off to headmasters

Re: cleaning chrome look exhaust??

WD40 is great for getting rid of tars spots etc.
I used to use autosol but I've found Autoglym metal polish to be better.

Re: cleaning chrome look exhaust??

I've seen a lad sent off to the PE dept for a long stand. He came back about 20 minutes later to say the teacher just told him to wait there for a while..
