Hi my car is just over a year and a half (65 plate Punto 1.4 Easy+). I am wondering how long my engine oil, coolant, brake fluid and screen wash should last before topping up. Should these normally only need topped up at annual service or is it normal to have to top these up in between?

Engine oil (and filter)-6000-7000mls, or 6 months (there should be no need for topping up).
Coolant-every 5 years.
Brake fluid- every 2 years.
Screen wash- twice a year, sommer wash, and winter wash.

This is when you want to own your car for a long and troublefree life, otherwise, see your handbook.

So there should be no need for me to top up my fluids myself if serviced to the service plan?

I'll take your advice and book in for a service more often thanks :)

So is the screen wash the only fluid which should run down?

You should CHECK the levels of your fluids weekly (at least once a month).
I totally disagree with Peters comments on oil changes. Changing the oil and filter at 6000 miles or 6 months is unnecessary, wasteful of resources and money and can harm the environment.
Modern, quality oils are capable of much higher mileages. If you want to be conservative do it annually or 10,000 miles.

Just don't ignore sounds of screaming brakes, otherwise you'll end up like me having to change the whole set ;)
