Hi all please could you tell me the tyre pressure for this size tyre 195/45r thank you in advance

31psi front 30 psi rear and all should be well,
Remember to adjust when cold

Thank you for your reply, just a matter of interest did my car come with those low profiles? Only had it a few months. Thank you

I was once told ,double the rim size and add 2 psi and you'll be close enough

Would I then be wrong in thinking if mine was say, 2.2bar on standard 14inch wheels, and then I moved to 15 inch with wider lower profile tyres, the pressure should be different? I assumed regardless of the tyres it would be the same?

You would need to check the handbook, there could easily be a couple of psi difference

I've pretty much just stuck to 32 PSI all round, on all my cars. What's 1 or 2 PSI between friends? ;)

As a Ball park figure..Fine. it'll keep the rims off the tarmac..;)

ever studied the handbooks and noticed the range between unladen and Laden..in fact for high-speed ( motorway+) work , there is often advice to go to the UPPER psi 's anyway..

most of the "blow-out" debris you see at the side of "fast lanes" is due to underinflated tyres being pushed HARD..including lorry ones:eek:

I run near the laden weight anyway

I go on the motto
Tyre pressures never go up, (Well yes they do when hot but thats another thing)
They only ever go down

So its better to be higher up, for it to leak down to normal pressure

I do that for everybody's tyres i check
1 - 3 psi is gonna make naff all difference really

Ziggy

I'll check my handbook agian now, because this is going to be embarassing if it is in there (when i can find it). :p

It's a 1.2 Fiat 500 '10. Tyres are 195/50 R 15.

Did you change the tyre size from original, because your right they don't seem to be listed.
i would use 2.2 front and 2.1 bar rear. Thats 32psi and 31psi for normal weight load,
but that is just best advice not official

Yeah, I did, but suddenly wondered if they were (close to) an Abarth size or something like that comparable.

I've got 2 all round, but I think 2.2 might be better. Sounds right anyway!
