Hi all, long time since i have been on the forum, last time back in 2007, at the time i had a doblo cargo van, great little van, anyway just got another 2010 1.3 multijet diesel, my question is first thing of a morning it sounds tappy for a few minuets then its fine no other probs, is this normal? it has 99k on the clock it was a lex lease van from southern electric so has full history, but i see no mention of timing chain change, last service is at 89k so i am going to do an oil change & filter, just wondered did anyone have any thoughts.

Hydraulic tappets on these so if the oil pressure takes time to build they can be a bit tappy on start up.

An oil change with the right grade of oil should help it, quite often fleet owners will put 10w 40 in which these engines really don't like
