I have bought some ultra deep clean for my black punto will I get a better finish if I use wax after? Im new to the detailing side of things

It'll certainly last longer -- although it will be even better if you apply a sealant instead/as well (i.e. after the wax).

Can you recommend a sealent?

The correct stages are ideally;

Polish, Glaze, Sealant then Wax although, Sealants have taken over popularity over waxes of late.

AG Extra Gloss is a good staring point and it's easy to use - you want need a wax on afterwards, either.

There are many good sealants on the market such as the Zaino and Gtechniq systems.

Oooo I was looking at the auto glym high definition wax it from halfords for £20 so might grt that aswel cheers

any recommendations for a red car?

For any colour car the shine is all in the preparation rush this bit and even £1000 of vintage car wax wont do you any favours....

most of the shine comes from the decontamination and oxidisation / swirl removal


and again it wont last unless you get the washing process sorted....

wash/ dry
tar removal

wash/dry/
iron fall out removal

wash/dry
clay


wash/ dry

then polish if by hand look into german aplicator pads

and what ever polish you choose



as you can see its not just wipe it on spread it about a bit and wipe off it must be worked in well....

then wax / sealant
