Autoglym Clay - what to expect?

Autoglym Clay - what to expect?

I'm sure the subject of claying has been done to death.. However, I have a few questions.

Firstly, my car looks fairly shiny right now. I can't imagine what it would be like after claying? It's a 2003 car, so must benefit from it?
What can I expect to achieve from doing it, if anything?

How often should it be done? I mean, if I do it next week, will it go back to how it was before after a few weeks, or will the benefit live on?

And also, I've always had best results from Autoglym products, so tend to buy their stuff for everything. Is their clay a safe bet?

Thanks in advance for any tips or pointers! If I decide to do it, I'll watch plenty of videos first (y)

Hey so some tips id post some videos from YouTube of people to watch but from my experience here they are. You only need to clay your car once or twice a year dependant on how you look after your car.

Get your car as clean as possible. Meaning prewash and shampoo you need it clean. Then you can start claying most decent claybars just use water as lubrication and i think the AG recommends you use the Quick Detailer or Rapid Detailer. Fairy Liquid and some warm water will do.

You dont use the whole bar, cut a nice wedges off it smaller then your palm this is all you need. Whatever you do DONT DROP IT ON THE FLOOR if you do bin it and cut off another slice. Warm your hands and mould it and flatten it out.

Do a panel at a time use the Mf cloth with you to wipe away any excess liquid to leave a clean finish. Basically the finish you want to feel with your fingers is silky smooth like glass. Alll you need to do is back and forth over and over check the clay surface then if dirty twist and turn it and the clay bar will clean itself. Use plenty of lubrication.

You will feel it when your getting somewhere. Light pressure only needed let the clay bar pick up the dirt.
