Hi all

I'm sure people have probably started similar threads before but need some advice...

I currently have a Halfords own brand pressure washer, which cannot be faulted after 6 years of reliable service. However as with everything it is getting on and starting to wear out. Looking for a new one which you can do all the usual tricks including snow foaming. My budget is £150ish.

There seem to be loads of pressures washers out there but what is good and what isn't??

I have read mixed reviews about nearly all so just wanted some of yours...

2nd Question

What is a good snow foam to buy? I've tried all of the limited range Halfords sell (albeit they are just pressure washer detergents) and nothing really suds up very well, they all just seem to drip off and not do a great deal. Any recommendations here also?
Had a look online (amazon etc) but don't know what's best to go for?

Thanks (y)

I can only speak from the choices I made, after reading up a bit on DW forum I choose the Nilfisk C120, in hindsight I wished ad saved half the cost an just bought a C110. Can't fault the one I bought, but think the smaller model would have been sufficient.

Are you using a proper snow foam lance or just the detergent bottle that comes with the pressure washer?

Again personal experience I've used Autobrite Citrus foam, was ok but not what I wanted. Just had some Chemical Guys No Touch delivered today so that's this weekends task :) want to try Autobrite Magifoam as-well as it also gets great reviews.

Before buying a machine you need to check what connector it uses on the lance......

Ignore pressure initally and concentrate on flow rate yes pressure is important but a pw is no good if it delivers 3000psi at 1 litre of water a minute

more flow and high pressure for the best results....

i have this one

and use bilt hambers autofoam

I have a quick question about snow foam. I have used Chemical guys Ph neutral snow foam and it just doesn't seem to stick to the car very well. Am I diluting it too much? It's not actually doing much to the dirt and I still have to do quite a heavy shampoo (which defeats the object of snow foaming!).

Any help?

an inch in the bottle should be more than enough to get a good foam. Try adjusting the length of the arm from the pressure washer handle then monitor the foam. I had to crop my snow foam gun when i first started.
Try using a ph neutral foam if you plan on having wax on the car and using it regularly
