Hi, I'm new to these forums and recently bought myself an 05' Panda 1.2 dynamic (...WITH THE SUNROOF! SH-YEEH!) and had a friend tell me this nifty trick to tar removal after motorway driving or whatever t'was. Basically, Eucalyptus oil.. You can buy a 25ml bottle of straight Eucalyptus oil from Amazon UK for £1.49.. This only requires a tiny dab of the oil on a cloth and will do the whole car so there's hundreds of uses. Not a huge budget saver but i've found it easier than buying specific car-care products. Plus my car smells awesome.
Hope somebody finds this interesting!

if the car has had any smart repairs test first.....

its also been used in the past to remove rattle can spray paint from a vandalised car

You should try Barton chemicals bitumen tar and glue remover at some point.

Petrol does work however as a forum mod we have a duty of care to point out the blatantly obvious that petrol and its vapours are highly flammable... Not to mention carcinogenic..

static build up from rubbing with a microfibre can create a spark which is enough to light the vapour.... the same vapour can cling to your clothing making both you and your car go up like a bonfire....

As above, autosmart tardis, and Iron-X for iron filings, are the two best products IMO
