| | cleaning interior carpets my project car is a bit of a state, and i don't think i can get out all the carpet which is filthy, and being up around the transmission tunnel makes vacuuming difficult. can anyone recommend me a strong powerfull carpet cleaner which can be applied in situ. it's a grey carpet if that makes any difference lol. also need to get the leather seats cleaned, but plenty of subjects in here already on leather cleaning, but a search revealed no carpet subjects.

| | Re: cleaning interior carpets the seats are no problem, it's just certain bits of carpet which i can't work out how to remove, mostly smaller pieces. being a small car (mgb) it's not as easy to clean as the tipo ![]() hoping there'd be something i can just work in with a brush or something, thinking for the larger bits i've got out, if i use one of them fancy carpet cleaners which we need to use on the lounge carpet anyway it'll do it nicely, it's just for the smaller pieces, which wrap around the transmission tunnel.

| | Re: cleaning interior carpets Try star drops mixed with morning fresh washing up liquid in hot water. Use a Microfibre cloth. You'll be amazed at how much crap this will get out.

I use a carpet cleaner from lakeland limited. It's a powerful foaming cleaner which you spray on, leave for a couple of minutes and then wipe off. It can be bought off their website or from their store. It's so good, it even removes chewing gum! . Have a look on www.lakelandlimited.co.uk (it's the chomp £5.99 one at the bottom.)
