Re: Best polish

Depends on what Auto Glym product your using, there are extra gloss products, both as a cream and a clear, that really bring the shine up, but they will only be really effective if you've clayed the car first.

Cheers

What is claying the car? I have seen those clay bars in the shops but never really bothered looking at them

if its your first time with clay i'd suggest you try

http://www.bilthamber.com/autoclay.html

(auto clay soft)

other clays need you to use a quick detailer as a lubricant which is circa £7 a bottle where as the BH uses normal tap water

this is a good guide

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...ead.php?t=4829

keep it warm and fold regularly

as for a polish Autoglyms super resin polish is one of the best i've used

then to seal/wax something like BH auto balm

http://www.bilthamber.com/autobalm.html

or collinite wax

http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/produc...roducts_id=402

(can get the clay and autobalm and clay from elite too and get a discount if you register with http://www.detailingworld.com/ )

If there are any RDS or swirls, it's going to need correction carried out to make it really shine.

Re: Best polish

I have found the best polish is autoglym's ultra deep shine. The finish is amazing!

i have tried it in the past and it is a real swine to buff off and doesn't seem to last overly long in my experience but it does fill the swirls rather well..

Yeah it is hard to get off, but the mirror shine it gives is immense. Ive found it lasting for weeks tho

Its too abrasive to be used week in week out. It will kill your paintwork.
